Eli was one of the speakers of TEDMED 2013 where he spoke about his organization and about what we could do to help a choking child.

In 2001 he was knocked to the ground by a secondary bomb intended to kill first-aiders rushing to the scene of a suicide blast.

FORBES INDIA, 12 April 2012 - On a bright Sunday evening, in a suburb near Chennai, the highway to Sriperumbudur, a manufacturing hub, was almost empty. There were a few men standing by a line of shops, some bicycles, a couple of autorickshaws, and a speeding Ford Ikon. Suddenly, the car swerved to the right, climbed the platform that divided the road and crashed against a lamp post. The bonnet squeezed into a confusion of metal and wires. Two web-like patterns formed on the front glass from the impact of the passengers’ heads.

UNITED HATZALAH, 12 March 2013 - Tuesday night two IAF Cobra combat helicopters left their base in central Israel to complete a basic training task, with experienced pilots on board. A bit after the first helicopter returned to the base at 1 AM, communication was lost with the second one. At the same time the passengers of a car travelling on Route 3 from Jerusalem to Ashdod reported a suspicious explosion in a wheat field next to the town of Gedera.
